Communication Skills

Communications skills, personality and career development programmes are conducted by Vikash Institute of Technology right from the beginning. Oral and written communication skills are developed using the latest learning aids provided in the computerized language laboratory. The course is so designed that students, especially those who come from vernacular medium and have little exposure to conversing in English, can proceed to learn it at their own pace. The students seeking admissions in the international universities abroad after graduation and post graduation are offered coaching for GRE, GMAT and GATE from fourth year onwards, thereby improving the chances of success in joining top ranking universities. When the students leave the portals of VIT, their eyes are set on the career with undivided attention.

E-based learning

E-based learning is promoted and on-line lectures by eminent academicians and industry leaders are projected through multi-media equipment to the entire group of students in the specially designed e-classrooms that is designed for such interactive sessions.

Research

VIT believes that the institution has to fill the void between the student life and the professional phase making the transformation smooth and easy to adapt. To expose the students to the developing trends in the industry, it has established Incubation Centre promote R&D oriented activities and to impart advanced learning modules to the students. The centre enables the students involved in research activities, gain experience through handling live projects and participate in industry promoted symposia and events.

Recreation

The standard of sports infrastructure at Vikash Institute of Technology is much above the set norms. Play grounds for Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis and Cricket are well maintained. A Physical Director heads the department and the activities are carried on throughout the year. The College has established a Talent Search and Sports Club to encourage and provide every opportunity for the student to improve in the chosen sport. VIT strives to achieve a good balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Students are involved in several academic and co-curricular activities like: inter- engineering college meets, Technical Games, Technical Forums, Group Discussions, Elocution, Debating, Seminars, Industrial Visits, Cultural Meets, Sports Meets, Quiz-Contests, Skits & Plays.
